Helmets to Hardhats Canada is a non-profit organization that helps Canadian military veterans and serving reservists build rewarding careers in the unionized construction and maintenance industries.

Building It Green is a project of Canada’s Building Trades Unions (CBTU) aimed at improving skilled trades workers’ understanding and knowledge of how their work has a greater impact on climate change.

Through an online assessment and matching portal, prospective candidates will be able to explore all of the unique opportunities and career paths that exist in the unionized construction trades; assess their skills and suitability for a particular trade as a career; get matched with a local building trades union; and identify any gaps or supports they may need to get started.

CBTU supports a variety of training institutions and initiatives.

Registered apprenticeship programs train workers to become highly-skilled, construction workers through on-the-job training provided by an employer and in-school technical training.
