Advocacy

Canada’s Building Trades Unions ensures that workers voices are heard in the halls of Parliament. CBTU advocates on behalf of skilled trades workers on a wide range of national-level issues including fair taxation, labour mobility supports, worker supports, employment insurance, and innovative solutions to support the industry.

Working with the Government

CBTU actively engages the Canadian Government on our issues, often advocating for changes to legislation, implementing programs to support the workforce, and making investments to bolster the sector. To support our advocacy efforts we often produce briefs and reports to share information with decision makers.
