Today, Justin Trudeau is in Waterloo, announcing that a Liberal government will ensure Canadians have the opportunity to improve their skills and work credentials to help meet the needs of our modern economy.
Robert Blakely, Canadian Operating Officer of Canada’s Building Trades Unions (CBTU) calls the announcement by Justin Trudeau on skills training “a large step forward in being able to train the kinds of skilled people the economy is demanding. The training system needs basic infrastructure upgrades and this $25million commitment to training centres will make a big difference in increasing training capacity.”
CBTU has been calling on the Federal Government to fund practical upgrades to training centres for the last number of years and this policy commitment by the Liberal Party is a large step forward. We will continue to advocate for training solutions which are in the interest of the country and workers everywhere.

Aujourd’hui, Justin Trudeau était à Waterloo pour annoncer qu’un gouvernement libéral assurera que les Canadiens puissent améliorer leurs compétences et acquérir de l’expérience professionnelle pour que les besoins de l’économie moderne soient comblés .
Robert Blakely, chef des opérations des Syndicats des métiers de la construction du Canada, a décrit l’annonce de Justin Trudeau concernant la formation en matière de compétences comme étant « un grand pas en avant vers la formation de travailleurs spécialisés qui sont en demande dans le contexte économique actuel. Il faut absolument mettre à jour les infrastructures de notre système de perfectionnement. Ce nouvel engagement de 25 millions de dollars au profit des centres de perfectionnement aura une influence positive sur l’augmentation de notre capacité de perfectionnement ».
Depuis plusieurs années déjà, les SMCC encouragent le gouvernement fédéral à financer la mise à niveau de nos centres de formation. Cette annonce par le Parti libéral représente donc un grand pas en avant. Nous continuerons à promouvoir des solutions de formation qui représentent les intérêts supérieurs du pays et de ses travailleurs.
