Pathways Alliance

The Pathways Alliance is an alliance of the 6 largest oil sands producers in Canada to achieve net zero greenhouse emissions from their operations by 2050. Canadian Natural, Cenovus Energy, Conoco Phillips Canada, Imperial, MEG Energy, and Suncor make up Pathways Alliance. These companies are largely based in Alberta. The first phase of this project includes a major carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS) transportation line connecting oil sands facilities in the Fort McMurray, Christina Lake and Cold Lake regions of Alberta to a carbon storage hub near Cold Lake. Trades impacted by the Pathways Alliance include thousands of boilermakers, insulators, ironworkers, and pipefitters.
