Diversity, Inclusion, Respect…CBTU Leading the Way! – 2018 CBTU Annual Conference

Diversity brings strength to our organizations and diverse workers bring many gifts to our workplaces.

Inclusion allows all individuals to be treated fairly and respectfully, having equal access to opportunities and resources and contributing fully to our industry’s success.

Respect increases productivity, safety and quality when workers value each other.

Workforce development is based upon the concept that a better-skilled and more inclusive workforce are the keys to successful attraction and retention. Diversity in organizations is increasingly identified as a fundamental characteristic of an organization’s ability to create an environment of involvement, respect, and connection -where the richness of ideas, backgrounds, and perspectives are harnessed to create value. This year’s Conference ‘’Diversity, Inclusion, Respect… CBTU Leading the Way!” will focus on issues surrounding our industry and what programs and strategies need to be developed in order to move inclusion in the industry forward so we will meet the workforce demands of the future.

As always, we will have a diverse cross section of interesting industry and political speakers who will share their thoughts on current affairs and the state of our industry.

Conference Early Bird Registration: $375. Deadline: March 30, 2018. Registrations will be accepted until the start of the Conference for a fee of $400.

Lobbying: has always been an important activity of our Conference. However, we are going to try a more focused approach by hosting a Lobby Day independent from the Conference. So, an Industry Lobby Day is scheduled for October 16, 2018. (More information to follow.)
