Remembrance Day Message 2021

On November 8 and November 11, Indigenous Veterans Day and Remembrance Day, respectively, Canada’s Building Trades Unions and our 600,000 members honour and thank the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve Canada. We join the rest of the country in taking time, through personal reflection and moments of silence, to pay respect to those whose sacrifices allow us to enjoy peace and freedom in Canada today.

Skilled trades workers have always played an integral role in war efforts, utilizing their craft to build, repair and maintain both industries at home supporting the war efforts; and on the battlefield.

As we take time to thank, honour and remember our veteran members and all veterans this week, a tremendous amount of gratitude is owed to them and they deserve recognition and support today, and every day.

Lest we forget.
