building it green

about the project

In 2021, Canada’s Building Trades Unions (CBTU) launched a 4½ year-long national project that integrates climate literacy into the unionized skilled construction trades education and training system. Funded by Employment and Social Development Canada’s (ESDC) Union Training and Innovation Program (UTIP), Building It Green is available through over 200 union training centres across Canada, and shared with our union signatory contractors and employers.
