In Canada, women represent only 4% of the construction trades workforce \u2013 a number that’s disproportionately low. While other traditionally male-dominated professions have made progress, like the Military and Law Enforcement seeing participation rates rise to more than 15%, construction remains stubbornly low. Canada’s Building Trades Unions is providing programs and supports for women entering the trades and resources for union leaders on how to better recruit and retain women in the construction sector.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
