Indigenous awareness training

Canada’s Building Trades Unions and our partners have developed a comprehensive training course for skilled trades apprentices, journeyworkers, contractors, local union staff, and leadership to help increase the understanding of indigenous peoples and their histories and cultures.

The course is based on the history of Indigenous peoples in Canada and provides context on current situations taking place within the construction industry and Indigenous Communities.

This fully online, three hour self-directed course can be customized for organizations to reflect specific regional needs, or contextual issues specific to their projects or local communities.
