parliament hill rehabilitation project

The Centre Block of Parliament Hill is undergoing massive renovations that will include a new central entrance and gallery, and will completely modernize the building’s infrastructure, including the plumbing and electrical systems. This is the largest heritage restoration project in Canada – with more than 4,000 trades workers working on the project.  It is slated for completion in 2028.

Did you know?

During the project, approximately 20 square kilometers of masonry surfaces need to be rehabilitated – that’s 365,000 separate stones.
