Cancellation of CBTU Conference

Mar 25, 2020

Greetings,

During this unprecedented time, I regret to inform you that, due to the continued COVID-19 outbreak, Canada’s Building Trades Unions has made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel the 2020 Canadian Conference, scheduled for May 11-13, 2020 in Gatineau, QC. We look forward to hosting this Conference, every year, and creating an opportunity for you to connect with Members of Parliament, network and receive industry updates. This decision is disappointing and frustrating to all of us, and we value your patience and understanding.

The CBTU Golf Tournament, scheduled for May 14, 2020 is also cancelled. Thank you for those that registered and planned to sponsor the event. Your support is appreciated. Please contact Peter Scedozsi with any questions regarding the golf tournament.

With respect to requests for registration refunds, please check our website here: Refund Form CBTU Conference, and contact CBTU at 613-236-0653 for further assistance. Due to the number of requests, please allow for 30 days to receive a refund.

If you have made hotel reservations, the Hilton Lac Leamy has confirmed they will cancel any room reservations made within the CBTU room block, and you do not need to cancel. Any reservations made outside of the block, would have to be cancelled directly with the hotel.

We want to thank all of our sponsors, exhibitors, attendees, and partners, as we continue to navigate through this difficult period. The health and safety of you, of our members and their families continues to be our number one consideration. Thank you for your continued support of the CBTU and we look forward to a quick resolve of this health crisis, to have the opportunity to host you at our conference in the near future.

In solidarity,

Robert Kucheran

Chairman
